Ann Romney Snubbed Anna Wintour’s Request For A Vogue Profile

Ann Romney may have stepped up her style game last night at the Republican National Convention, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be appearing in the country’s preeminent fashion glossy any time soon. According to a piece by The New Republic on Anna Wintour‘s political involvement, Vogue approached Romney earlier this year in hopes of nabbing an interview but negotiations “fell through.”

And frankly we’re not the least bit surprised. Vogue profiles trade in wealth, privilege, and status (Asma al-Assad, anyone?), and the last thing the Romney camp needs is to associate themselves with a title that has two stilettos firmly planted in the land of the one percent. And there’s the niggling fact that Wintour is an outspoken Democrat who has made major contributions to the Obama campaign, even helping host several dinners in his honor. That said, we still won’t count out the possibility of Mrs. Romney popping up in the magazine sometime after the election.

all AW cares about is VOGUE. her power & how many ad pages she can sell, EVERYTHING she does is for publicity for VOGUE, she’s not a staunch Democrat, she just sides with who has the “Cool” quotient so she can sell even more magazines, and right now it’s the obamas and talk about the 1%, AW is the creme de la creme of the 1%, google her and see how she lives!!!!! estae in so hampton, and a townhouse in the village, etc, etc, etc…glad the negotiations fell thru….
