Anna Malova, Former Miss Russia, Facing Drug Charges
Former Miss Russia Anna Malova was arrested in New York City on Tuesday after allegedly stealing her doctor’s prescription pad and writing herself a fake script for narcotic painkillers.
Malova was exiting a Greenwich Village pharmacy when police arrested her. According to the Long Island Press, Anna Malova has been charged with “criminal possession of narcotics, forgery and criminal impersonation of a physician.” Not-so-coincidentally, Malova was arrested on the same charges less than three months ago. And perhaps most strangely, Malova is a doctor herself in her native Russia, though she’s not licensed to practice in the United States.
Malova was crowned Miss Russia in 1998 and was one of the top 10 finalists for that year’s Miss Universe pageant.
