The Anna Wintour Weekend Gossip Roundup
We may have an unhealthy obsession with Anna Wintour, but we’re okay with that. No matter how much we read about her (or how many times we watch
The Devil Wears Prada The September Issue) the all-powerful Vogue editor still fascinates us. And if this year’s Fashion’s Night Out doesn’t prove her immense influence, we don’t know what does. So in the spirit of all things Anna, we bring you this weekend’s Anna Wintour gossip roundup.
- Anna pulled a classy move by attending former Vogue fashion and features editor Sally Singer’s welcome party hosted by T Magazine. The festivities took place at the Spotted Pig, and some of our favorite designers — Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Olivier Theyskens — were on hand. Anna’s foil/complement Grace Coddington was there, too.
- Anna’s feud with Tim Gunn just won’t quit. Back in June we reported that Gunn alleges that Anna was carried down five flights of stairs by her bodyguard at a Peter Som show. Word on the street is Anna is still fuming and may take it out on those who align with Gunn. More specifically, if fellow Project Runway-ers Heidi Klum and Michael Kors side with Gunn, they should be prepared for the wrath of Nuclear Wintour.
- After making her rounds at New York Fashion Week, Anna hopped across the pond for London Fashion Week. Since she maintains a residence in London, she made sure to hit up her neighborhood’s community board meeting, where pending liquor licenses were being discussed. Alas, Anna arrived fashionably late wearing a trench and heels, and missed the presentation she had wanted to see.
