Anne Hathaway Snubs Valentino Hours Before The Oscars Red Carpet

Anne Hathaway shouldn’t expect an invite to Gstaad next year if she keeps pulling stunts like this. The actress was lined up to wear a custom-made Valentino gown to tonight’s Oscars ceremony, but swapped it out at the last minute for a pale pink Prada column with a set of darts that drew attention to her, ahem, assets. Quel scandale!

The house sent out a press release just as the red carpet was heating up stating that it would be dressing Hathaway, Sally Field, and Jennifer Aniston, and Twitter was quickly a-buzz with speculation about the big reveal. And then…awkward. Hathaway stepped out in Prada.

“I didn’t know what I was wearing until about 3 hours ago,” she told E!, stating that her final choice was the one that ended up really speaking to her. We think it said “nipples”, although that has yet to be confirmed.

In any case, snubbing the designer of your wedding gown seems rather rude to us.

See photos of her pick below. Did she make the right choice, or should she have stuck with Valentino?

Anne Hathaway is not rude, she can wear whatever she wants

  • Alyssa

We could decide better if we knew how the other dress looked. The dress that she did wear was horrible.

  • Fyren

Rude? Why because she wanted to pick a dress herself and not have one picked for her? Gimme a freaking break. That’s like telling your mother “no” the first time when she dresses you.
