File this under Fashion News That Blows Our Minds: Giorgio Armani owns a basketball team, a basketball team he loves so much he has agreed to give the Milan-based franchise $57.9 million over the next three years. The team name? Olimpia Armani Jeans, of course.
While they might officially have the least inspiring team name ever, they are apparently quite successful. According to this press release, they’re the most awarded team in Italy with 25 Italian Championships, 3 European Champions Cups, 4 Italian National Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 3 Saporta Cups, and 2 Korac cups.
Who knew Armani was such a sports fan? Now we just want to see their mascot. And finally, their uniforms could use a little work, no?
