PHOTOS: The 5 Best Dressed Stars On The BAFTA Red Carpet
BAFTA Awards are the British version of the Oscars (BAFTA stands for British Academy of Film and Television Arts, by the way). As such, the show’s red carpet can be quite a glamorous spectacle. Though there were some definite hits ( Emma Stone, you go girl!), there weren’t too many looks we went crazy for. Even Styleite fave Emma Watson kind of disappointed!
What do you think of the night’s best looks? Were they lustworthy or lackluster?
Emma wowed in a pink and red one-shouldered
Lanvin number that was chic and fresh and downright awesome. She accessorized minimally (and appropriately!) with a gold Lanvin clutch, Lana Jewelry hoop earrings and an amazing statement cuff. Important question: is she quickly becoming our favorite Emma?
Hailee continued to give Elle some competition in the "most stylish middle schooler" category, rocking some serious
Miu Miu on the red carpet. She paired a sheer, bejeweled collared blouse (with a nude camisole underneath, natch) with an ankle-length black skirt. A purple Miu Miu bag added a pop of color to the ensemble.
Tilda always manages to look both entirely quirky and entirely classic at the same time. Last night she did it once again, wearing a beautiful
Haider Ackermann suit that was anything but average. Wide-legged pants complemented a femininely-cut jacket worn over a vest with champagne satin lapels.
We were surprised to see Jessica on the BAFTA red carpet (she was there as a presenter), but we're glad she made an appearance. Why? Because we love her blue
Versace stunner. Not only is the color unexpected — we almost want to call it electric periwinkle — but the draping of the fabric is divine. Also divine? Her coordinating vintage necklace.
Rosamund was a last minute addition to this list, as pickings were slim! We give her props for her bold, bright
Alexander McQueen gown (that yellow!), but are totally not feeling the belt. Yes, the belt was part of the complete runway look, but we really could do without it. She definitely wins for best bag though: her McQueen clutch was outfitted with an embellished pair of brass knuckles.
