TIME WARP: Models Werked This 1960s Balenciaga Show

Back in the day, fashion shows were more about the clothes than a fancy runway set-up or concert lighting. Case in point: Balenciaga‘s show from the 1960s.

In this vintage video, models showed off ladylike ensembles, like pretty skirt suits, long gloves, and loads of pearls in a minimalist setting. The ladies held up numbers to indicate their look in the run of show, and the front row seems to be only about one or two people deep.
