PHOTO: Is This What Bella Swan’s Wedding Dress Will Look Like?

You can pretty much take it for granted that we would do some awful, awful things to know what Kate Middleton‘s wedding dress is going to look like, but we’ll take images of the dress Bella Swan will wear on her wedding day as a nice consolation prize.

The folks at Shelf Life got a sneak peak at Twilight author Stephanie Meyer‘s new book, The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide. And they put up pictures of Swan as a vampire and in her wedding dress, a practical long-sleeved affair in bright white silk with a short train. It’s belted with what we can only assume is a very sparkly buckle or brooch. There’s also a really pretty full-length train accented with other sparkly things arranged in sparkly circular patterns.

We have to question whether the illustrations in the book will inform the actual costumes in the movie, but for now it’s nice to think that they will. Wedding dresses with sleeves can be so elegant, and we think they’re long overdue for a comeback. Maybe if there’s one in the next Twilight movie — or, you know, at Westminster Cathedral at the end of the month — we wouldn’t complain. Not one bit.
