Kris Humphries Went To Betsey Johnson’s NYFW After Party

Following a 60s mod-inspired show, Betsey Johnson celebrated at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week’s official lounge, the Stone Rose at the Time Warner Center. If you were fortunate enough to be on the list, there was an elevator accessible at street level that zipped you straight into the party. However, for those stuck waiting in line at the door, insult was added to injury when the ex-Mr. Kardashian Kris Humphries breezed right to the front.

Luckily for us, we stepped right in through the street entrance and made our way toward the open bar, where the bartenders jumped and danced around in Johnson’s signature tulle tutu dresses. Around the room, multiple screens replayed Johnson’s show, complete with the finale of Betsey and her grand-daughter strutting down the runway, and the DJ kept the energy up as fellow designer Richie Rich broke it down on the dance floor.

As for the partygoers, a few characters stood out from the sea of Betsey Johnson dresses on the ladies (mostly) and suits on the gents. One lovely gentleman was dressed in a bubblegum pink tutu dress — complete with a headpiece composed of butterflies fluttering about. Moments later, while the DJ blasted Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow”, we ran into a man in a structured blazer made of what seemed to be yellow post-it notes with a black design. How apropos.

Betsey took to the microphone to thank her design team a little after 10pm, around the time the crowd began to thin as the bar turned from open to cash. And while the DJ kept the dance tracks flowing, we decided to bid the remaining crowd adieu around midnight in favor of finally grabbing a bite for dinner.
