Bill Cunningham & The Curious Case Of Sarah Jessica Parker’s Cardigan

Last night, some fancy people (and Gayle King) gathered to honor the incomparable Bill Cunningham. Sarah Jessica Parker chaired the Medal of Excellence Gala alongside Oscar de la Renta, and she wore a vintage ODLR gown to the event.

The frock was all sorts of blah (and wrinkled!), which may explain why SJP felt the need to cover up. But instead of donning a chic fur coat like Anna Wintour, she opted for a thin cream cardigan. A strange choice, indeed! Not to mention, she eschewed a clutch in favor of a big ol’ shoulder bag. Hamish Bowles was not pleased.

That houndstooth or checkered dress (cant see)—UM. WHO DID THAT? WHERE IS IT FROM? A print on a gown like that could look miserable, but that looks FAB!
