Did Anyone Top Tilda’s Haider Ackermann Dress In Cannes Last Night?
Another day, another steady stream of celebs walking the red carpet in Cannes. Last night Diane Kruger, Tilda Swinton, Aishwarya Rai, and Mia Wasikowska stepped out in show-stopping looks by some of fashion’s biggest names. We’ll show our hand and dub Tilda’s Haider Ackermann ensemble our favorite of the night — but which was yours?
Tilda’s colorblocked blue gown is structured and yet drapey in all the right ways, not to mention her pitch-perfect accessories which came in the form of a clutch version of children’s book Ant and Bee by Angela Banner as well as a pair of ring pop-esque cocktail stunners. True to form, she topped the whole look off with a bare face and a swish of pink lipstick.
Diane’s body-hugging gold number by Calvin Klein is sure to set tongues a-wagging with regards to those ever-present pregnancy rumors, but no one can say she didn’t look stunning. And while we’re digging the dress, we’re digging her arm candy even more — though Joshua Jackson could have done better by ditching the sneakers.
Mia looked mature and impeachable (if a little boring) in a high-necked, red gown by Rouland Mouret, while Aishwarya went geometric in a structured blue and white design by Armani Privé. She would have sold us on it if she didn’t look so uncomfortable posing.
And now, dear readers, it’s your turn.
