1.This Thing Looks Like That Thing

So Carey is gracing Vogue with her blonde pixie 'do and pursed pink lips this October. Michelle Williams graced Vogue with her blonde pixie 'do and pursed pink lips last October. Carey is wearing Chanel, while Michelle wore Louis Vuitton, but both outfits scream color and texture. And then there's that pink lettering and those teasers in the upper-lefthand corners. And the blown-out neutral-colored backgrounds. Hmmmmm.

2.(Slutty) Tea For Two

It may be blasphemous to hate on Chanel, but we really don't like Carey's cover frock. It's just too too. The sequins, the flowers, the everything. We get that she's British, but does she need to be styled as if she's going to a tea party? But wait, are those cutouts on the stomach? Reminds us a lot of the Chanel dress Blake Lively (and new buddy to Vogue's ruling editrix) wore to the premiere of Twelve. What's up with the bare-ish bellies, Karl?

3.And That Face

We really like Carey, we do. We loved her in An Education, and think she's incredibly beautiful. That's why it weirds us out that cover Carey doesn't look like real Carey. Seriously. It doesn't look like her! Check out this image from her last Vogue spread. The January issue played up the whole quirky English rose thing too, but they actually kept her face intact that time.
