Carine Roitfeld’s New Magazine Uses A $400-A-Night Hotel As An Office
Carine Roitfeld is hardly one to slum it, but this here is truly some fancy living. While other newsstand titles struggle to make sales goals, the former French Vogue editor is reportedly conducting meetings for her upcoming magazine CR Fashion Book out of the Standard Hotel in New York City’s East Village, where rooms start at around $400 a night.
Who says print is dead?
The Tumblr-based website for Roitfeld’s glossy is likewise doing well, or so it seems. She already has the page up and running, and has been meeting with the platform’s top fashion bloggers to glean some grassroots wisdom and “talk about her upcoming magazine and Tumblr launch.”
