POLL: Is Cate Blanchett’s Givenchy Look Too Busy?

While usually the combination of Cate Blanchett and Givenchy spells sartorial perfection, in this particular instance we’re on the fence. Last night, the actress attended a a Gotham magazine party wearing a look from Riccardo Tisci‘s Resort 2013 collection — but not just any look. No no, this look paired a two-toned, button-up, flutter-sleeved blouse with a paisley-printed urban gypsy-esque pencil skirt. Sound busy? It was indeed. Blanchett also topped off the ensemble with eye-catching accessories: a pair of Roger Vivier open-toe booties and a burnt orange woven clutch, though mercifully, her hair and makeup were kept sleek and minimal.
