Which Celebrity Engagements Will Last?

Maybe it’s all the holiday cheer, maybe it’s just pure coincidence, but this was the week that everyone we know got engaged. Okay, maybe not people we actually know personally. But famous people who we feel like we know? They all got engaged. And because it seems like the only fair thing to do, let’s pit these newly betrothed couples against each other in a celebrity engagement deathmatch of sorts!

1.Natalie Portman & Benjamin Millepied

Natalie is the chick every girl wants to be and every guy wants to be with. And now she's pregnant with the child of her super hot choreographer fiance. (Seriously, Benjamin is smokin'.) Despite the fact they pretty much have zero photos together, their combined perfection gives their relationship pretty good survival odds.

2.Hugh Hefner & Crystal Harris

Let's do some math here. Hugh is 84. Crystal is 24. The last time Hugh walked down the aisle was in 1988, when Crystal was 2 years old. He also doesn't seem like a one gal kind of guy. Call us crazy, but we just don't think these two will even make it to the altar. Because, really, what's the point?

3.Reese Witherspoon & Jim Toth

We always loved the idea of Jake and Reese, but now Jake has Taylor and Reese is marrying some dude we've never heard of. This Jim character seems to have his stuff together though — he's an agent at CAA, and 10 years older than boyish Jake.

4.LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian

LeAnn and Eddie left their spouses for each other, and now they plan to tie the knot. The whole extramarital affair thing always skeeves us out, but they do actually seem rather happy and committed to one another. (Also, how hysterical is this picture?)

5.Lily Allen & Sam Cooper

Following a devastating miscarriage, Lily's boyfriend Sam proposed to the British songstress. The one-time Lagerfeld muse has had a rough year, and we think it's a testament to the strength of her and Sam's relationship that they're taking the marital plunge.
