FIRST LOOK: Vanessa Paradis In Chanel’s Coco Cocoon Ads

It seems like Karl Lagerfeld may have a crush on Vanessa Paradis. She is not only the current the face of Coco Rouge lipstick, but has now replaced Lily Allen in this season’s Coco Cocoon ads.

Karl took the reigns, per usual, and shot Vanessa in his studio in Paris for the Fall 2010 campaign. The result? Nothing short of genius. We’re loving the ads, which feature the often eerie looking Vanessa as angelic rather than ghostly. I’m sure Karl’s artistic decision to not shoot the actress with her mouth open helped to soften her look.

The Coco Cocoon isn’t exactly a Styleite favorite, but these ads make us want to cozy up in some knitwear, throw on a scarf, and forget all about spring.
