WATCH: One Chanel Couture Jacket Took 3,000 Hours To Make

Last week’s Chanel fall couture show was super dreamy, but it wasn’t easy for Karl Lagerfeld and his team to create. In this video, the Kaiser explains how long it took to make just one jacket.

We know that couture creations are incredibly fancy and intricate, but we certainly didn’t expect to hear that it took Lagerfeld and co. 3,000 hours to make a sleeveless coat! The Daily Telegraph did the math: “If we imagine for a moment that these craftspeople are working a regular eight hour day, that’s a total of 375 days — to make one coat.”
