Charlize Theron Fronts W Magazine, Mangles Bra-Stuffing Story
Charlize Theron is W Magazine‘s February cover girl, and the cover is just as boring as the accompanying interview.
Theron wears a violet Bottega Veneta silk chiffon gown for the Mario Sorrenti-lensed cover shot, along with some some pretty diamond chandelier earrings. Her makeup is dramatic (strong metallic eye, pale pink lip) and her hair is perfectly sculpted, but the result is just…boring. It doesn’t help that she appears to be posing in front of a column with some inexplicably random red roses.
Lynn Hirschberg‘s interview with the actress is also yawn-worthy, mostly because she reuses that bra-stuffing story she told Vogue back in December. However, while she copped to stuffing her own bra with cutlets and having a date mishap for Vogue, she tells W that it happened to some girl:
I wear those! If you don’t have boobs, you wear those cutlets. I heard a story of a girl who was on a date, started making out, and thought, Oh, he’s going to touch the cutlets! So she went to the bathroom to take them off, but her purse was too small to put them in there. I always thought that was a funny image, a woman not knowing what to do with these things that you stick onto your boobs. It’s just the most bizarre, unsexy thing there is—so I added that to Mavis.
Weird, right? Oh, and Brad Pitt fronts the magazine’s other cover in an undone Tom Ford tuxedo shirt and bow tie. Check it out:
