WATCH: Oscar de la Renta Designs Chelsea’s Dress!

As one talking head put it, Chelsea Clinton‘s nuptials are as close to a royal wedding as America’s going to get. Her father is a former president of the United States, her mother is the current Secretary of State, and all anyone — including us — can talk about is what her wedding dress is going to look like. And it turns out, contrary to earlier reports, the bride will not be wearing Vera Wang.

Instead, and according to the New York Times‘ White House correspondent, Clinton has commissioned a custom-designed Oscar de la Renta gown — which makes sense, considering how much Mrs. Clinton loves his pantsuits.
