PHOTOS: Christian Louboutin’s House Is Not At All What You’d Expect
Christian Louboutin‘s designs are anything but subtle, right down to their signature red soles. It’s surprising then that the designer’s digs are practically austere.
Louboutin maintains a “private retreat nestled in the desert near the Egyptian city of Aswân, not far from the banks of the Nile”. He goes there to work and to do a lot of yoga.
The house has waxed terra cotta floors and earthen brick walls and is filled with African furnishings — it’s about as far from Parisian as you can get.
