It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything out of Christina Hendricks. She wasn’t at the Oscars, she wasn’t at Fashion Week, and she hasn’t been in any scandals that have gotten headlines all over the world. Hendricks might have been resting up to prepare for her new role as the face of Vivienne Westwood‘s new line of palladium jewelry, called Get A Life.

The line is inspired by nature and includes a tiara made of palladium oak leaves and acorn-shaped earrings. Whether or not that actually do anything for nature has yet to be determined, but Westwood says she wants to make people more cognizant of the world around them. She also told The Daily Telegraph that Hendricks is the perfect face for the campaign.

    If Christina Hendricks was trying to get me to buy a Happy Meal or a car used in Show/Movie that she performed in I would call that “shilling”. An actress of her caliber and fashion sense working with Vivienne Westwood on a jewelry line deserves a better description of what she’s doing. A few words that come to mind are “modelling”, “representing” or “advocating”, still not the best but better than “shilling”. I’m sure the talented writers at Styleite can come up with some more.
