Christian Louboutin Is Making Glass Slippers For Cinderella

Disney is rereleasing Cinderella later this year, and they’ve teamed up with Christian Louboutin to mark the occasion.

Louboutin will be designing glass slippers for the studio, and we’ll have to wait until summer to see ‘em. Our guess is they’ll look like those ones Margiela made, albeit more wearable (hopefully!) and with red soles. (And they will of course be more subdued than the ones Louboutin made for that strip show.)

This is actually a collaboration that makes a lot of sense! After all, as the designer told WWD, Cinderella is “an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world”.
