Cindy Crawford Won’t Drink Just Any Old Cocktail

Now that we’ve swapped our heavy coats for spring blazers and our ankle boots for strappy sandals, we’re ready to put down the Cabernet in favor of something a little more tropical.

Enter Caliche Rum, the new super-premium spirit from nightlife impresario Rande Gerber and sixth-generation rum maker Roberto Serrallés. The pair celebrated the launch at New York’s Whiskey Park, transformed for the evening into a summery oasis complete with palm trees and waitresses sporting panama hats.

There to support Gerber was wife Cindy Crawford, who confessed that she tends to follow her husband’s lead when it comes to cocktail choices. That’s not to say that you’ll find her swigging just any old drink, though. “I’m not an anything goes kind of girl,” confessed the supermodel, “but I definitely like to drink different things for different moods — just like different music creates different ambience.”

Crawford, the hottest mom of two on the block in a skintight leather sheath and black stilettos, favors Caliche mojitos when entertaining poolside, but “when I’m out, and having fun with friends, I drink it on the rocks.”

One day, we’ll be able to “entertain poolside” also.
