Courtney Love Tweets Half-Naked Pics Of Herself, Louboutins
While perusing her Twitter feed earlier this morning, we couldn’t help but notice that her last 11 tweets were all photos, a mix of Love’s Louboutins, Love half-naked, and Love posed with a nipple-flashing Paz de la Huerta.
Between her fashion blog, her Twitter, and a New York Times Style profile by Eric Wilson, Courtney Love has been making a concerted effort to rebrand herself as a fashion maven — albeit a somewhat unpredictable and often naked one.
Back in July, Love launched her style blog with the hope of changing the Google Image results page for a search on “Courtney Love.” She told WWD:
“With the Internet, I think the crap rises to the top,” Love says, peeved that while searching for a picture of herself “with some good hair she had done at Bergdorf’s” that most of what she found was just really bad. “There were, like, nine pages on Google that were f—–g me at my worst, and it took me until page 12 — well, page nine had an Avedon one — to find a decent one.”
While no one — not even Eric Wilson — would argue with Love’s sartorial influence, we can’t help but wonder if her freewheeling, Twitpic-ing ways aren’t contributing to the problem. That said, would Love without the nudity, half-naked photos, and over-sharing tweets still be the Love we’ve come to, well, love?
That is the question.
