Emily Current And Meritt Elliott Exit Current/Elliott Label
Emily Current and Meritt Elliott may have been inducted into the CFDA just earlier this year for their work on their denim label Current/Elliott, but now they have announced that they will be parting ways with the company, reports WWD. Serge Azria, who co-founded Current/Elliott with the pair in 2008, will continue to operate the label as CEO and creative director.
The Los Angeles-based stylists provided no reason for their departure, but did indicate that they “have a number of design projects on the horizon and also will carry on styling and consulting.” This is sure to keep them busy in the coming awards season, as they maintain a number of celebrity clients, including Emma Roberts, Lucy Hale, and Mandy Moore, and we’re sure we’ll be seeing their West Coast cool girl style around again very soon.
