Daphne Guinness’s Fifth Avenue Apartment Is On The Market For $14M
Beer heiress (yes, that’s what she is for a living) Daphne Guinness is selling her art-filled apartment on Fifth Avenue, and she’s listed it for a whopping $14 million.
So what does all that cash get you? Curbed reports the apartment, located in the ultra exclusive Stanhope building at 995 Fifth Avenue, has four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a huge eat-in kitchen (and by eat-in, we mean there’s space for a dining table and a few squishy chairs to sit on and eat popcorn on a rainy day). You also get views of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park, plus an interior decorated by fancy home decor guy Daniel Romualdez. And then there are the downstairs neighbors, who will threaten to sue you if you flood their home — which Guinness did last year when she repeatedly overflowed her bathtub.
There’s also a separate staff studio connected to the apartment (because who wants to live under the same roof as the help?) but that’s listed separately for $1.5 million. But there are other expensive catches to buying this place, too — the Stanhope charges its residents common charges of $17,950 a month, which comes to a $215,400 annual fee just to live there, on top of the massive, massive mortgage.
