WATCH: Debbie Reynolds Auctioning Off Serious Old Hollywood Dresses

Debbie Reynolds might be as famous for being in movies as she is for collecting costumes from them. The flame-haired actress owns everything from the iconic white halter dress Marilyn Monroe wore in The Seven Year Itch to Elizabeth Taylor‘s headdress from Cleopatra. And later this month, she plans to sell many of her pieces of Hollywood history to the highest bidder.

Reynolds is staging what will probably be the most important auction of Hollywood memorabilia of all time. On June 18, she’ll sell not only Monroe’s dress (it could fetch $1 million) and Taylor’s headpiece (worth $30,000), but also the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz (valued at $120,000), Audrey Hepburn‘s white lace dress from My Fair Lady (at least $200,000) and Grace Kelly‘s pink and white outfit from To Catch A Thief (bidding starts at $30,000).

Reynolds told the BBC that her plan was to start a museum for all of her memorabilia, and while she’s sad she didn’t achieve that goal, she’s glad that “these things will be shared with people that love the stars as much as I do.”

How bad do we wish we were gazillionaires right now? Real bad. Check out some of the things Reynolds will be auctioning off, below.

I think her dress could fetch between $1 and $2 million! http://www.fashionwrapup.com/daily/buzz-wrap/happy-birthday-marilyn-monroe

I am really sad that these won’t be in a museum, a private collector won’t share them with us, the way a curated museum would, she was so forward thinking to grab these, as well as being one of the last and greatest working actress from MGM’s studio system.
