PHOTOS: Diamond Jubilee Weekend Kicks Off With Hats And Horses

Four whole days devoted to Queen Elizabeth II! Can you stand the excitement? Today’s festivities commenced with a trip to the races – the Epsom Derby to be more specific, marking the anniversary of the Queen’s coronation in 1953.

Liz looked every bit the true blue monarch in her periwinkle coat and matching hat, giving Duchess Catherine a run for her money yet again. She was joined by Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, the very dapper Duke of Edinburgh and, curiously, Mischa Barton, decked out in her finest top hat for the occasion. This is only the beginning, though. We have three more days of Jubilee-ing to go, and we’re looking forward to seeing all of the fanciness QE2 has in store for us next!
