Doo-Ri Chung Lands A New Gig At Vince
Back in June, it was announced that Korean designer Doo-Ri Chung was leaving her namesake label after nearly a decade. Details about her exit and her future plans were sparse, but now, Chung has found a new gig as the creative director at Vince, whose owners left earlier in the week.
Part of the job requires the Michelle Obama-approved designer to relocate from New York to Los Angeles, where she’ll work alongside the existing Vince team on design, development, and branding duties.
Chung commented to WWD: “I’ve long admired the [Vince] brand because of its loyal customer following and its modern design sensibility.” There is no word on any upcoming designs, but we’re looking forward to a combo of NYC cool and LA chic. Congrats on the new gig, Chung!
