Doutzen Kroes Is Going To Outer Space
Word has is being a Victoria’s Secret Angel just wasn’t heavenly enough for model Doutzen Kroes. She said in a press release today that she’s got her eye on a trip to outer space.
Kroes, who gave birth to her baby son Phyllon in January, has booked a seat on the very first Dutch-based commercial space flight, which is scheduled to lift off in 2014. We here in the Styleite offices have done our fair share of flying in the past, but we’re terrified of being anywhere outside the earth’s atmosphere. Kroes, on the other hand, is as eager as can be:
“My work has literally brought me to the most beautiful places on earth. But apparently nothing is as beautiful as the view of the earth from space. Astronauts who have been lucky enough to have had that experience, say it is life changing.”
You know what else is life changing? Basically everything that Doutzen Kroes has ever done in her career and personal life. We guess we shouldn’t be surprised.
But wait — there’s more! Dance4Life, the HIV/AIDS foundation that Kroes supports, was given a seat on the space flight right next to the supermodel. They’ll be auctioning it off at an event in Amsterdam this summer, and if you have enough to bid for it, you could get a guided tour of the heavens with an Angel. And the money, which supports a good cause, would totally be worth it just to be able to say that sentence to people for the rest of your life.
