Diane Von Furstenberg’s Ideal Night Out Would Be ‘Silence’

Diane von Furstenberg sure does know how to throw a party. Her Meatpacking District flagship was packed to the Swarovski-laden gills last night for Fashion’s Night Out. Guests snaked around the block to see Solange Knowles man the DJ booth, hobnob with celebs like Girls’ Allison Williams and Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix, and partake in free MAC makeovers. But despite all of the festivities, DVF herself would much rather have been spending her night reclining on a couch:

“I’m super tense. I’m doing fittings for my show across the street, I’m running back and forth. When I can sit down and watch Obama, that will be the highlight [of my night].”

And as for her ideal night on the town, the once-upon-a-time party animal had a quick answer: “Silence. Right now, all I want is silence.”
