Toddlers & Tiaras Star Eden Wood Throws A Tantrum At NYFW

If the models at New York Fashion Week have to pass an age requirement, shouldn’t its attendees have to follow one, too? Six-year-old beauty queen Eden Wood of Toddler’s and Tiaras fame lit up a runway in New York City by, well, basically doing more of the same thing she’s known for having done on television.

Page Six reports the miniature diva strutted down a catwalk at the Bryant Park Hotel in an event called “The Cowgirl Riders Debutante Fashion Show,” where Real Housewife Kelly Bensimon chaperoned Wood and other itty bitty models walking and dancing down the runway. At one point, Bensimon had to get on the runway to get a particularly shy little girl to move around to the music.

Not so for Wood, who danced obligingly (and apparently sort of seductively) to such musical hits as U Can’t Touch This and Ice Ice Baby. During one of the songs, Wood took off the jean jacket she was wearing to reveal a two=piece denim costume. During another, she slapped her own behind.

Offensive? Yes. Illegal? Should be, but sadly, no. But it pales in comparison to the monster tantrum Wood is said to have thrown the day before at the tents. At the Allure Fashion Week Lounge, Wood asked to have her teeth whitened, but was turned away when the technician wielding the tooth whitening laser told her she was too young. Wood, who started screaming, was apparently unconsolable — after winning over 300 pageants she’s used to getting what she wants, after all.

And maybe, just maybe, her behavior is indicative of the fact that always getting what she wants is a problem.
