PHOTO: Here Is Emma Stone’s Very Awkward, Very Cool W Cover
By now, Emma Stone has got the glossy cover girl act down pat. But for the February issue of W, the actress ditches the shiny hair, studio lights, and heavy makeup for a look that’s a far cry from the usual newsstand fare.
In the shot, Stone is perched on an unmade bed in a black bra top with rumpled tresses and a nearly-bare face. The leather jacket falling from her shoulders is a nice touch, but she looks so young that the voyeuristic vibe verges on uncomfortable. On the other hand, the image is classic Juergen Teller, who has lent his lens to the Marc Jacobs campaigns for over a decade, and if we’re reading the coverlines right, we should be in store for a whole slew of his portraits of Oscar hopefuls like Jennifer Lawrence and Daniel Day Lewis.
