Emmanuelle Alt Put Gisele On Her First Cover For Vogue Paris
The cover model for Carine Roitfeld‘s final issue of Vogue Paris may still be a mystery — though at this point Lara Stone looks like as good a bet as any — but the official word has it that Emmanuelle Alt’s first cover for the glossy will feature über-supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
April marks Alt’s first month at the top of the masthead and according to WWD, Bündchen was photographed in St. Barts by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matatin for the issue.
Gisele is an interesting choice. For one, though she’s had immeasurable high-fashion success, she is at this point a certifiably commercial model. And though Alt’s full editorial vision won’t be seen until the August issue, it’s Apri; that will make the biggest statement as to her plans for the much-lauded glossy.
In other words, we’re not sold on Gisele but we’ll reserve judgement until we see it. And in the meantime, at least Alt didn’t use Terry Richardson, right?
