PHOTOS: Who Looked Hot (And Who Did Not) At The Emmy Pre-Show Events?

The 64th Primetime Emmys are going to be held tomorrow night, which means the red carpet extravaganza has officially begun! The A-listers turned out in force last night for the pre-show events, so there is much to discuss, sartorially speaking.

One of our favorites of the night was Dawn Olivieri‘s simple metallic gown. It felt understated because of the basic cut and silver band as the sole adornment, yet it grabbed our attention first. We also loved Ginnifer Goodwin‘s embellished sheath dress. Two of the ladies of Downton Abbey – ~~Lady Mary~~ Michelle Dockery and ~~Anna~~ Joanne Froggatt — made our best-dressed list as well.

As for the worst dressed, there really isn’t too much we strongly dislike. That said, we think that Zooey Deschanel actually took the gamine look a little too far this time. Usually we love her playful look and it really works for her, but the floral minidress and black opaque tights struck us as juvenile. Also, the gathering and rosette detail plus the knee-length hem on Sarah Hyland‘s frock weren’t the most flattering things on earth. Other than that, not too shabby!
