PHOTOS: Evan Rachel Wood Shows Us How The Lady Tux Is Done

Lady suits can be a hard thing to pull off, mostly because a whole lot of lady suits aren’t cut right for lady wearers, or said lady wearers don’t style them correctly. At last night’s Ides of March premiere, Evan Rachel Wood showed us how a lady suit (slash tux!) should be worn.

The first thing right about Wood’s outfit is the pant situation. High-waisted and tapered, these are clearly lady pants! Excellent. The jacket is also great thanks to the ’80s power shoulders and lovely shawl lapel. But what makes this ensemble totally badass and sufficiently feminine is Wood’s black bustier top. It’s all very Madonna circa “Vogue”. We also appreciate Wood’s spectator pumps (always a great lady tux accessory!), but we’re not totally digging her necklace(s?).
