How To Dress Like Your Fave Fashion Star For Halloween

Halloween is officially next week, which means you need to start getting creative or resort to dressing like a slutty bunny/cat/pirate like you do every year. But if you’re reading Styleite (which, if you didn’t know, you are!), you’re probably a person of discerning taste. You don’t want to wear just any old costume — you want to look like the fashionable lady or gent that you are. Thus, we bring you: Halloween costumes for the fabulous fashionista (or fashionisto!).

1.Anna Wintour

Rummage through your mom's closet and find her most ~~boring~~ sensible dress with sleeves and a conservative neckline. You'll also need a bob wig, big sunglasses and a moderately large choker. And a scowl.

2.Karl Lagerfeld

Black pants, black shirt (with a super high collar), fingerless gloves, shades and a George Washington wig — you're the Kaiser!

3.Garance Doré & Scott Schuman

Couple costume! She wears something simple, French and chic; he wears a sharply tailored suit (pocket square non-negotiable!). Both must carry large cameras with them at all times.

4.Tavi Gevinson

Dye your hair gray, wear lots (and lots and lots) of quirky layers and don't forget some glasses. Twee accessories are a must.

5.Lynn Yaeger

Dressing like Lynn is basically dressing like a grown-up Tavi, but with more awesome makeup. Wear leggings under some layered skirts, and find yourself lace-up oxfords. You'll need a red wig and plenty of blush and dark lipstick. Make sure you shape your lips correctly!

6.Anna Dello Russo

Dress like ADR and you'll be the toast of the evening! Wear your most outrageous dress and highest heels, then go to a home goods store and buy some fake fruit. Attach said fruit to a headband. Voila! You're fabulous!
