Sweatpants Ahoy! What Your Favorite Fashion Faces Ate Yesterday
by Verena von Pfetten | 10:10 am, November 24th, 2011
It’s a day of thanks, a day of family, a day of watching football and parades on the television. But really, it’s a day of food: delicious, butter-y, home cooked, well-basted, eat-until-you-fall-asleep-in-your-uncle’s-lay-z-boy food . So while you’re prepping for this afternoon’s gastronomical marathon, we’ve rounded up some of fashion’s favorite faces and asked them what they’ll be stuffing themselves with tonight. Their answers vary from the traditional to the sweet to the downright debaucherous. Take a look and enjoy! And then let us know what you’ll be drooling over in just a few short hours.
WARNING: If you weren’t already starving, you will be.

1. Derek Lam, Designer
There'll be no holiday weight gain for this designer. "I actually have to go on a diet!" he told us during a Q&A about his new collection 10 Crosby at Barneys . "I have not been watching my diet very well, so I'll probably be eating a lot of lean turkey and relaxing on the beach" at Fire Island.
2. Annabel Tollman, Stylist
"Two words... pumpkin pie. The rest is all just an amuse bouche for the pie, which is clearly the main event."
3. Mia Moretti, DJ
"Stuffing! I love stuffing so much that when It's not Thanksgiving I go to Remedy Diner and get the Thanksgiving Special. I could eat stuffing every day (with gravy and cranberry sauce, of course)."
4. Anya Strzemien, Editor of StyleList & HuffPost Style
"I'm a simple, carnivorous girl: I love the turkey. Crispy skin, drowned in gravy. I might make some enemies here, but I think side dishes are basically just a waste of time."
5. Mary Alice Stephenson, Stylist
"For a pre-thanksgiving romp, my son Willem and I went to Blake Farms with Thread Social designer Beth Blake and her family. We ran through a corn maze, climbed haystack hills and drank apple cider. But one of my favorite moments of the day was discovering Blake Farms fudge. Unfortunately, I never met a box of fudge I didn't like and this block of yummy is screaming to be eaten! So tomorrow I will forgo the sweet potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie and instead I'll be feasting on fudge!"
6. Lauren Bush, Designer and Philanthropist
The FEED founder told us she'll be spending her first Thanksgiving as a married woman with the family of her husband, David Lauren , and she's looking forward to lots of candied yams. So what does one wear to designer Ralph Lauren 's holiday table? Nothing too fussy. "It's more about wearing what makes you feel comfortable," she said. Sweatpants ahoy!
7. Daniella Yacobovsky & Amy Jain, BaubleBar Founders
"One of our favorite foods is pumpkin. We love it in absolutely everything - soup, salad, pasta...so it's no surprise that we live for pumpkin pie. We love this holiday classic with a rich dollop of whipped cream. Another favorite (though it's not really a dish) is Daniella's mom's champagne punch. It's one part sorbet, 3 parts champagne and 5 parts southern comfort: happy holidays, indeed!"
