What ‘Inappropriate Behavior’ Caused This Vogue Editor’s Exit?

Magazine shakeups always pique our interest, but Women’s Wear Daily‘s take on the departure of Vogue senior accessories editor Filipa Fino is certainly interesting.

Yesterday WWD put an item on their website that claimed: ”Sources hinted that Fino’s departure could allegedly be tied to some inappropriate behavior on her part.” Tawdry! What could inappropriate mean?! Was she lying to, abusing, and/or sleeping with someone? Did she take long, boozy lunches? Was she stealing things? So many questions!

Like some of the industry rag’s recent speculations, we took this whole thing with a grain of salt — and when we went back to the link today, that line had been deleted. Hmmmm. Vogue and WWD are under the same big Condé Nast umbrella, so maybe the fashion glossy was pissed the newspaper aired their dirty laundry? Or perhaps WWD was just totally wrong. We’re not really sure, but that is kind of scandalous!

Relatedly, W‘s senior fashion and market editor Carolyn Tate Angel was fired by her new boss Edward Enninful who “has a new direction for the title and wanted to make some changes to the masthead as a result.” Ouch.

Why would WWD all of a sudden retract the slip of the tongue comment “inappropriate”? Why because conde nast has a history of taking shots at great talent when they have decided to move on w a better career!! Someone like Filipa needs to write a book about how “inappropriate” vogue and conde nast operates! A lawyers dream and I hope Filipa teaches them a good lesson!

Why did WWD remove the comment “inappropriate”??? Why b/c I hope Conde Nast finally gets what they deserve!  They have done this in the past by attempting to smear the editors who have spent many years at Conde who say they are ready to leave and Conde looks  to hurt their reputations w/ dirty shots!  REASON?

Rumor has it the blow up was that Filipa uncovered and has in her possession ” forged documents ” by an assistant who was in turn fired! That’s why WWD was told to remove the “inappropriate” comment immediately by Conde Nast!

Filipa get a BIG lawyer and MAKE Conde Nast pay for this!!!  Please do this for the others that went through the same thing.  Conde Nast ESP Vogue is like a cult!! You will only leave when when “they” say so. .. If you decide to leave without their blessing you will get dirty cheap shots to add doubt to a sterling reputation that is flawless!! Filipa best of luck and please please do this for the one’s that took the dirty shots and never held Conde Nast accountable!!
