Which Fashionable Faces Made Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women List?

Forbes has released its annual list of the 100 most powerful ladies in the world. The usual fashion suspects like Anna Wintour, Gisele Bundchen, and Lady Gaga made the list. So did our homegirls Queen Elizabeth, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Beyonce. Sadly, Kate Middleton didn’t make the cut, but she’s a princess duchess, so it evens out.

While everyone who made the list certainly deserves it, we’d like to point out that in 2010, there were exactly three female designers: Tory BurchVera Wang, and Donna Karan. Now, there are only two: Diane von Furstenberg and Miuccia Prada. Interestingly, DvF ranked higher than Wintour on the list, which doesn’t make all that much sense to us, unless they were factoring in net worth? One would think the editor-in-chief of the world’s most influential fashion magazine would have more pull than a designer, no matter how successful and popular von Furstenberg is.

Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel snagged the number one spot, but see who else made it, and how they reacted below:

DvF is president of the CFDA. That in itself gives her more power than Wintour, although Wintour definitely should be on the list given her growing association with the White House.
