PPR Founder François Pinault Made Grand Officer Of French Legion Of Honor
Who was made a Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor this week? François Pinault, that’s who.
The PPR founder received France’s highest civilian decoration on the same day his daughter-in-law Salma Hayek was named a Knight of the Legion of Honor. Just don’t take this to mean PPR is being favored over LVMH — Bernard Arnault received the same honor back in July. That said, we wonder if François-Henri is jealous.
Anyway, other fashion folk were honored as well! As per WWD:
Designer Jean-Claude Jitrois and Elisabeth Ponsolle des Portes, president of French luxury goods association Comité Colbert, were declared Officers of the Legion of Honor. Among those made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in the annual list were: Mexican actress Salma Hayek-Pinault; Christian Courtin-Clarins, chairman of Groupe Clarins; Marianne Romestain, president of Gérard Darel; Nathalie Tribouillard-Chassaing, managing director of Leonard; Philippe Louvet, international human resources director of L’Oréal Research and Innovation, and designer Philippe Venet.
