PHOTO: First Look at Gemma Ward In Great Gatsby

Once a model, always a model? In Gemma Ward‘s case, not quite. After watching her serenade a sailor in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, we’ve been waiting with not-quite-bated breath to see her transformation into a roaring Twenties stunner as Catherine in Baz Luhrman’s adaptation of The Great Gatbsy.

The role of Catherine (Myrtle Wilson’s sister) in the book is tiny. In fact she never actually appears in person, though she’s described as gorgeous, which doesn’t bode well for her onscreen time. Ward is currently listed in sixth place on the film’s IMDB page, but then again: her minute long appearance in Pirates had her in fifth place up until the film’s release.
