Giorgio Armani Unveils His Hotel In Dubai’s Burj Khalifa
Giorgio Armani’s eponymous hotel in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa — also known as the world’s tallest building — is finally complete.
The Armani Hotel features eight restaurants, 160 rooms, 144 “Armani Residences”, a spa, and several Armani retail outposts for couture, candy, and flowers — and the whole thing was built to Armani’s notoriously exacting standards. At a press conference Tuesday morning, the designer said:
“Yesterday when I arrived and saw the hotel, I felt really emotional. After five years of working on this project, I finally saw how it all came to life. Working with me is not always easy, I think everyone here would agree because my standards are very high.”
The Burj also happens to be home to the world’s highest mosque and swimming pool, on the 158th and 76th floors, respectively.
