PHOTOS: Was Gisele Upstaged By Her Giant Pink Bow?
Let’s be clear: it’s darn near impossible for Gisele Bundchen to look bad. And the sparkly, silver, form-fitting Oscar de la Renta gown she wore last night is undeniably pretty. It’s just that there was this thing… this blindingly bright, seemingly incongruous piece of fabric tied around her waist and finished with a bow. And we found it so distracting we didn’t even recognize the person wearing it as Gisele.
At first we assumed the bow was a stylist’s mistake, but the dress (and bow) are from de la Renta’s pre-Fall 2011 collection. And on the runway, somehow, the bow looks fine. But worn on the red carpet and it was all we saw! Which is sad, because it’s generally fun to look at Gisele’s face and behold the wonders of genetic symmetry. Anyway, what do you think? Are we being too harsh?
