Givenchy’s Spring Ads Star Kate Moss, Marina Abramovic, And More

Riccardo Tisci is getting by with a little help from his friends for Spring 2013.

WWD reports that the designer has enlisted his inner circle to front this season’s Givenchy campaign, which means that the women’s ads will feature Kate Moss, Marina Abramovic, and Mariacarla Boscono, while the men’s side will star bullfighter Jose Maria Manzanares, artist Jared Buckhiester and model Francisco Peralta. Other than Boscono, who has worked with the label for many years and is currently the face of their Dahlia Noir fragrance, this will be the cast’s first time appearing for the house.

“They are people I love and who love me,” Tisci explained. “It’s about family — something that is difficult to find in today’s world. It’s about real people, only taking the best of their personalities, with no effort.”

No effort and little makeup, according to WWD, though that’s not to say that the designer didn’t enlist his usual crack team of Mert Alas, Marcus Piggott, and Carine Roitfeld to make sure everything was up to snuff.
