PHOTOS: The 5 Worst Dressed Stars At The Golden Globes

Not everyone can be the best dressed — otherwise we’d have a really messed up concept of “best” wouldn’t we? But it still makes us pretty sad to see that the women who were worst dressed on The Golden Globe’s red carpet last night are normally on our best dressed lists. But there are certain crimes that we cannot forgive, like wearing the wrong dress for the occasion (cough, Heidi Klum) or simply not living up to one’s own superstar potential (sneeze, Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore). We’ve simply come to expect more from the ladies on this list. And last night, none of them delivered.

1.Heidi Klum

We really like Marc Jacobs. We do. But Klum missed the Marc last night (see what we did there?) by deciding to wear the wrong dress at the wrong time. The Golden Globes just isn't the occasion for a 70s inspired gown that doesn't reach the floor -- or for super casual wooden bangles, either. Also, we think it was a little early in the day for such intense eye makeup, don't you?

2.Jennifer Lopez

Style minders projected that most of the ladies on the Globes' red carpet would evoke serious 1940s glamour. This Zuhair Marad dress sort of makes J.Lo look like she was born in the 40s. (It also looks like she stole it from the Selena costume archives.) So how did one of the most gorgeous women in the country add 30 years to her age? By putting on that ridiculous sparkly cape, that's how.

3.Julianne Moore

Normally Julianne Moore looks pretty good on the red carpet, but we're still trying to figure out why she forsook her own personal style last night for this hot, hot pink Lanvin number. We admire Moore because she knows exactly who she is as an actor, but this dress doesn't know whether it wants to go to a royal wedding reception or to a junior high Sadie Hawkins dance.

4.Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman's Prada dress sort of looked like someone skinned the world's most glamorous snake and put a bow around its waist. Lackluster hair and a super weird three-pronged brooch may have made Kidman this year's worst dressed of all.

5.Christina Aguilera

Another one bites Zuhair Marad's dust. In theory, there's nothing wrong with a strapless mermaid gown that fits close to the body, when you throw a tired lace overlay on top of it, you've got one heck of a contender for the worst dressed list on your hands. Also, we sort of refuse to believe that Claire's was the best Christina Aguilera could do in terms of jewelry.

I love Julianne Moore as an actress who can do no wrong. I have a feeling she’s generally more comfortable in pants ‘n a t-shirt, and it usually shows when she’s at award ceremonies. It’s like too much icing on the cake, honey.

This list is a complete fail. Hands down worst was January Jones, sort of space-sluts do grass skirts. Oh, the horror.
