Last night’s Gotham Independent Film Awards brought out all of our red carpet faves — Natalie Portman , Anne Hathaway and Julianne Moore among them. The first ceremony of the film industry’s awards season was hosted by Patricia Clarkson and Stanley Tucci at Cipriani Wall Street .
Check out the slideshow below, and tell us who looked totally rad and who looked downright bad!

In the meantime, enjoy the html version below. I guess. If that's your thing.
1. Leighton Meester
Leighton is trying way too hard in this ill-fitting Thom Browne suit. Thom just starting designing for the ladies , and this look is a dud. Perhaps we'd feel differently if Leighton got her pants properly tailored, lost the tie and traded in her burgundy satin pumps for something a little cooler.
2. Natalie Portman
You know who got their hands on some Lanvin Hearts H&M deliciousness? Natalie Portman, that's who! We doubt she braved the ridiculous crowds, but love that she's rocking Alber's downmarket one-shouldered black number. Also, her Dior clutch totally completes the ensemble.
3. Julianne Moore
While Natalie went the H&M route, Julianne wore the real deal — a leaf print kimono-like Lanvin frock. She accessorized with tights... and a choker.
4. Mila Kunis
Mila's navy Oscar de la Renta dress is made of a heavy fabric that we can't quite identify. But we don't hate it! We do kind of hate the unnecessary brogued belt she's wearing though.
5. Anne Hathaway
We're digging the cold-weather floral trend, as exemplified by Anne's Dolce & Gabbana strapless number. Her hair color seems a bit curious, however.
