PHOTOS: Who Wore What To The 2011 Grammy Awards

Lady Gaga may have “walked” the red carpet at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards in a Hussein Chalayan-designed egg, but the rest of the attendees came fully dressed and on display. And while the Grammys are normally known for being the most risk-friendly of award shows, most celebs played it safe-ish; after Gaga’s egg, Nicki Minaj held court in crazytown in a head-to-toe leopard print couture ensemble by Givenchy. Most important though, were the evening’s familiar faces: Nicole Kidman wore a strapless floral piece from Jean Paul Gaultier‘s Spring 2011 Couture show and Rihanna took a page out of model Andre Pejic’s book and walked the step and repeat in the same ivory fur gown he wore down the runway.

    Pehaps its because rappers lyrics are all about the gun…and the ho…and busting caps in cops…and bangin…and a world tour of that is sickening to far too many people. Or maybe the Grammy panel knows that if rappers show up, they will diss each other on stage with NC performances that ruin the night for everyone. Yeah, like that has not happened. Why should it matter to 50 & Jay-Z anyway? The Grammys have turned into a total freakers ball where everyone just wants to out skank each other with stupid over the top outfits and statements.

    Wow, Rihanna and Nicole Kidman wore almost the same dress. I’m surprised that Gaultier’s people allowed that.

    It is great to see Nicole Kidman looking so great. Her last few appearances have been rather dismal.
