The Great Gatsby Trailer Is Here And It Involves Kanye West, Flapper Style
The long-awaited trailer for The Great Gatsby is here, and it involves Kanye West.
Baz Luhrmann‘s big screen adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald‘s classic hits theaters on Christmas; Leonardo DiCaprio plays the lead as Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan is Daisy Buchanan, and Tobey Maguire is Nick Carraway. The trailer opens with Kanye and Jay-Z’s “No Church in the Wild” and ends with Jack White‘s cover of U2‘s “Love is Blindness”, which is no surprise given Luhrmann’s love of anachronistic pop music (see: Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge).
What do we know so far? That the pace is frenetic (also typical Luhrmann) and that the clothes are excellent (which we assumed would be the case).
