Gwyneth Paltrow Named The New Face Of Max Factor

Gwyneth Paltrow has landed a new beauty gig as the global face of Max Factor. She serves as the makeup artists’ “creative inspiration”, and will star in a six month ad campaign beginning November.

Paltrow was just named as a spokesperson for Hugo Boss’ new ladies fragrance Boss Nuit Pour Femme. Coincidently, Procter & Gamble Co. owns both Max Factor and Boss, so Paltrow mugging it for Max Factor isn’t a total surprise.

Tom Munro will film commercials, Craig McDean will photograph the campaign, and of course, Max Factor’s global creative design director and makeup genius Pat McGrath will handle the beauty looks.

“I tasked 11 of our national makeup artists to create three glamour statements for Gwyneth,” McGrath told WWD. “These were to be inspired by her life and the different roles she has to play — model, actress, mother, singer.” Then she created seven looks from the ideas, and the final looks will appear in the campaign.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes pic of the campaign:

Wait, Max Factor still exists? Haven’t seen that in a while.
